April 2026 • What I’m Seeing
Milan Design Week
The design world is turning its attention to Milan this month. Milan Design Week, anchored by Salone del Mobile, has long been one of the most influential moments on the global design calendar, a convergence of designers, galleries, brands and institutions presenting new work across the city. What began as a trade fair has evolved into something far more expansive: installations, exhibitions and temporary environments that shape the direction of design for the year ahead. There is always something compelling about the scale of it, the density of ideas, the layering of disciplines, the way the city itself becomes a backdrop for design in motion. And yet, I’ve found that I engage with it differently now.
There was a time when I felt I needed to be there, to see everything, to absorb it all, to keep pace with what was being shown. And occasionally, when there is something specific I want to experience firsthand, I still will. But increasingly, I find I get more from approaching it with intention rather than immersion.
Following the exhibitions from a distance allows me to see more clearly, to notice what holds, what feels considered and what is simply performative. From there, I can reach out directly to the artists, artisans and designers who’s work resonates and spend tine with it in a more focused way. It’s a more intuitive approach for me, and I find it is more meaningful. Because the most lasting ideas are rarely the loudest, they are the ones that reveal themselves over time. Perhaps I will be inspired to go next year, maybe you might want to come along.

Let's Talk Art
The best conversations about art happen over coffee, in living rooms, in those quiet moments when someone asks the question they've been holding back.
That's the community I'm building with KRSTN Editions, a place where these conversations happen naturally, without pretense or gatekeeping. Whether you want to understand why a particular work resonates, discuss how to integrate a piece into your home, or explore what you're drawn to and why, I'm here for it.
If anything I've shared intrigues you, studio work, upcoming shows, curatorial direction, reach out. This work is never just about the art. It's about what art makes possible: the conversations, the connections, the moments of recognition when something shifts how you think about your space, your life, your legacy.
Consider this an open invitation. Whether you're already collecting or just beginning, whether you need guidance or simply want to share what excites you, I want to hear from you.
Community gets built one genuine conversation at a time.
